General

Scalford Road is to the East of the Livestock Market and North off Norman Way A607.

Please note tickets can be bought online or at the gate.  Payments at the gate will be by cash or by card payment subject to there being a suitable signal for the card machine.  Exhibitors may accept payments by card but bring some cash just in case their Wi-Fi fails.

Times of the Event is from 10am – 4pm
Last entry is at 3.30pm, please note that mid to late afternoon some of the producers may not have a full range of stock depending on the popularity of the event and product.

Disabled

Disabled Parking is through Gate 4 off the Scalford Road.  There are disabled toilets on site.  Wheelchairs can access all areas.

Admission is free for the registered carer of a disabled person

Dogs

Sorry it’s a food event so dogs aren’t allowed (except working/guide dogs)

Trains

There is a train station in Melton Mowbray literally five minutes’ walk from the town centre the ticket office is sometimes unmanned but there is an outside ticket machine.

The service Birmingham to Stansted Airport is operated on an hourly basis with connections to London either by Leicester or by Peterborough

Coaches & Groups

Coaches should enter the site via Gate 4 off the Scalford Road to the Coach Park and park at the far end.  This is the 4th Gate on the left travelling North along the Scalford Road, which in turn is off Norman Way.  Passengers enter the event by the path at the far end of the Coach Park furthest away from the road . Travelling by Car

Car Parking

There is a large free car park to the North of the event and a smaller pay and display next to gate 4 (free on Sunday but pay for on Saturday).

From M1 South

Leave at junction at Junction 21A signposted A46 Newark.  Follow the A46 all the way to the main roundabout  (Hobby Horse Roundabout) with the A607 where you take the first exit North for A46 Newark/Melton Mowbray.  After a mile turn off left at the signpost to Melton Mowbray A607.  Follow the A607 all the way into Melton Mowbray until the main junction after the car park on the left.  Turn right signed A607 Grantham. Take first left onto Scalford Road.  Car Park Entrance is Gate 5, the fifth gate on left.

From M1 North

Leave at junction 24 Signposted Loughborough A6.  Follow A6 for two miles. After dual carriage way turn left onto A6006 sign posted Melton Mowbray. Continue for 15 miles until you reach the first main junction in Melton Mowbray. Go straight over direction A607 Grantham. Take first left onto Scalford Road. Car Park Entrance is Gate 5, the fifth gate on left.

From A1 North and from Grantham

Leave A1 at second exit for Grantham signposted A607 Melton Mowbray.  Follow A607 to Melton Mowbray.  At main junction turn right direction Nottingham A606.  At fourth set of traffic lights turn right onto Scalford Road. Car Park Entrance is Gate 5, the fifth gate on left.

From A1 South and from Oakham

Leave A1 at exit for A606 Stamford/Oakham . Turn left onto A606 direction Oakham.  Follow A606 using the Oakham Bypass all the way to Melton Mowbray. Follow one way system round Melton Mowbray direction A607 to Grantham.  After the church on left road bends left and comes to a T Junction.  Turn right here direction Grantham.  At next main junction turn right direction A607 to Grantham. Take first left onto Scalford Road.  Car Park Entrance is Gate 5, the fifth gate on left.

From Leicester

Head for the A46 the Leicester Western Bypass.  At the roundabout with the A607 (Hobby Horse Roundabout) take the first exit North for A46 Newark/Melton Mowbray.  After a mile turn off left at the signpost to Melton Mowbray A607.  Follow the A607 all the way into Melton Mowbray until the main junction after the car park on the left.  Turn right signed A607 Grantham. From Nottingham

Head for the A52 Clifton Boulevard, the Southern ring road around Nottingham.  Leave the A52 at the roundabout which exits onto the A606 for Melton Mowbray. Continue all the way into Melton Mowbray.  Continue after the Tesco Express/BP petrol station on the left until opposite Sainsbury’s and enter the Cattle Market via Gate 7 which is also marked for disabled parking. Continue into the upper car park.

From Loughborough

Take the A60 North out of Loughborough direction Nottingham and continue until the village of Cotes, turn right onto the B676. Follow the signs all the way into Melton Mowbray.  The road goes under the A46 and at next main (Shoby) Crossroads turn right onto the A6006 and follow the road into Melton Mowbray.  Go straight over the Asfordby Hill roundabout and continue into Melton Mowbray for a mile until the main traffic lights.  Turn left at the traffic lights and continue North along the Nottingham Road A607 until the entrance to the Cattle Market on the right opposite Sainsbury’s and after the Fire Station Gate 7.  This is also labelled for Disabled Parking.  Follow the entrance and into the upper car park.

From A50/Kegworth

Take A6 direction Loughborough.  Before Hathern turn left onto the A6006 signposted Melton Mowbray.  Continue straight following the signs all the way into Melton Mowbray.  Go straight over the Asfordby Hill roundabout and continue into Melton Mowbray for a mile until the main traffic lights.  Turn left at the traffic lights and continue North along the Nottingham Road A607 until the entrance to the Cattle Market on the right opposite Sainsbury’s and after the Fire Station Gate 7.  This is also labelled for Disabled Parking.  Follow the entrance and into the upper car park.
